January 1, 1866 - John Miller arrives in New Zealand
Although no shipping records can be located to confirm John’s arrival in New Zealand, he first appears in the 1865-1866 electoral roll as living on the Arrow River in a dwelling house so he likely arrived a short time before that. He is also mentioned in November 15th, 1865 in a letter to the editor as a member of the committee by the miners to represent them.
